Rutherford Hill Winery Aging Cave

It's hard to believe that its been a year since I retired. This past year has been extremely busy - giving a presentation as part of the 2005 E-Week program, a trip to NOLA for the POE meeting, a trip to Cape Cod, organizing a conference in Saratoga Springs, the LF Conference, the trip to Virginia, a trip to California, to Denver for PCIC, to Hong Kong and Beijing - - - wow! It's been fun.
Finished up the March/April issue, and reviewed the galley proof for January/February. So I have a few weeks of breathing room before the next issue of the magazine needs attention. Have to finish Christmas shopping soon. And the next couple of weeks are going to be busy - Engineer's Luncheon tomorrow, Bunz on Tuesday, IPSEO holiday luncheon on Friday, to Baltimore for the ExBoard meeting on Saturday through Monday, and then the Section holiday luncheon on the 18th. Dave is scheduled to arrive on the 23rd for three days.
Did some printing today - 4x5 negatives. Some good results, but I need to do more.
One year ago yesterday, Linda and I went to New York on a Brown Tour bus. Had a terrible time getting back. Yesterday, Brown again had two buses go to New York, but this time it was more tragic - the first bus stopped for a traffic light in New Jersey before entering the Lincoln Tunnel, and the second crashed into it. A number of passengers were injured, but they were all treated and released and were home last night. But the driver of the second bus is reported to be in serious condition (he later died). Not clear whether it was a driver problem or a mechanical problem, but one passenger reported a strange smell on the bus that some were speculating was a brake problem.
This picture was from the Rutherford Hill winery in Napa Valley. I took the tripod on the tour of the cave in order to be able to get a sharp image with a long exposure.
