Mid-November

Arsenal Spiral I

The weather is unusually warm for mid-November. Global warming? Who knows?

Done some printing over the last few weeks, both silver and Pt/Pd. Need to find an opportunity to show some work. The delivery date for the Winter Solstice show at SCAC is a couple of weeks off, but that will be limited to one piece. I think I have enough to have a reasonable show of work on a common theme if I can find a venue.

Haven't been inspired to go out shooting recently. Main issue has been that I really feel the need to get further away. Linda and I drove over to Manchester last Friday, but I never took the camera out of the car. I have a short list of still life things that I want to do, but they are things that could wait until winter.

Manuscript Central is still stuck, and no one in Piscataway will tell me what the problem is. Of course, the situation that creates is that we have a commitment to have it on-line no later than May 1, 2007, and I would really like to have something functional sooner than that so that we can play around with it for a while before actually going "live".

I think the lawn is pretty much ready for winter. but I still need to run out the remaining gas in the lawn mower. Also need to get the snow blower ready to go. Put the driveway reflectors out last week. Still need to get the deck furniture put away for the winter - but that means that I need to find a time when someone is around to help wrestle the table into the gazebo. Perhaps this weekend. Also need to drain the hose in the backyard.

A couple of days of meetings this week, including one that displaced Bunz. Too bad. The meetings are interesting, and they are definitely directed toward a conclusion.

This picture is from the day trip that Linda and I took over to Springfield and Amherst in August. I have to negatives of the spiral staircase at the Springfield Armory - in this one, the lighting and contrast are more dramatic. Don' t know which I prefer.
