Off to Chicago

Weston's Stones

Linda and I are off to Chicago tomorrow for the POE meeting. Those are always interesting sessions, and I'm looking forward to it again this year. We will have a nice dinner tomorrow night with the IAS team, but beyond that I doubt that I will have an opportunity to leave the hotel. But Linda is looking forward to a tour of the city as well as possibly spending time at the Art Institute with Charissa.

I've done a little printing from my negatives from California - both silver at Pt/Pd - but there's a lot more that I need to do. Now I have negatives from Cape Cod that also need printing. And I need to come up with something for this summer's Saratoga Inside-Out show. I have an idea for that one, but I need to get downtown to make the photograph.

Our trip to Cape Cod was nice. The weather was cool but comfortable - all except the last day when a cold rain made it pretty uncomfortable in P'town. But we had a nice time - we did our usual things - shopping in Chatham and Orleans, visited Sandwich and the Thornton Burgess Nature Center and Jam Kitchen, Provincetown, etc. But it would definitely be nice to be able to go "in season" when more is open.

This picture was done at Weston's Beach at Point Lobos State Reserve.
