We need rain

Rodin #2

This last week has been intense! Mowed the lawn for the first time this year last Saturday, then flew to Detroit for the I&CPS Conference. Met Mark for a bite Saturday night and to discuss what he was going to say to the ExBoard. Meetings Sunday afternoon, reception Sunday night, meetings until after 9pm Monday night, chairing a technical session on Tuesday followed by the formal dinner, technical sessions on Wednesday, and then scrambling to get a plane home.

Thursday was catch up day. Friday was odds and ends.

Have completed a course for an on-line training operation - I will get 2-x hours toward my continuing education requirement as well as a royalty anytime someone takes the course. Relatively painless way to accumulate CEUs toward my license renewal. But it was interesting that they didn't want the quiz to contain too many numerical problems. Like Joe said, they are selling CEUs, not education!

Did quite a bit of photography before heading off to Detroit, and the negatives look good. Need to think about what I can enter in the Saratoga Inside/Out show this summer.

Have bid on a bag bellows in several e-bay auctions. It's interesting that the people who have won the auctions all have purchased a similar bag bellows in the past. They have to be dealers - a user simply doesn't need more than one! And of course what they are doing is driving up the price by bidding high - and when the established price is higher, their potential for gain at resale is higher. That's really frustrating to me as a user - I fell like they are gaming against me.

It's been a month since the new grass seed went in, and it's really slow in growing. We've been careful to water every day that it hasn't rained - and we definitely need more rain. But its also been cool. While I don't look forward to the cost of running the AC this summer, I do want the grass to thicken out.

This is another piece from the workshop with Ernie last September. That was fun!
