February

Plant Leaf Posted by Hello

It's February already - I suppose that means that Winter is about 1/3 over. We'll see what Punxatawney Phill has to say later this week.

Bunz this morning - then walked over to the Arts Center to see the current display. Insteresting work - all collages. One of the artists works in photography, one in typography, and the other mixed media. Very creative.

Linda and I went to the Saratoga Library this past weekend for the first time - their collection is smaller than SCPL, but it's different for us so we can enjoy it for a while. Of course, because we live in the greater Saratoga area, we can't use the newer materials. Too bad, I supposed, but even new stuff eventually becomes old stuff.

Resolved the conference dinner last week. Still up in the air about entertainment, but there's lots of time to deal with that.

Also did some more hand coloring last week. All one image - "Eve" from the Ernie Rubinstein workshop in Burlington. We'll see how that fares at SPS tomorrow night.

The weather has warmed up a bit - it was actually above freezing this afternoon for the first time in a couple of weeks.

This is a very old image - made with the old Mamiya-Sekor camera that died almost 25 years ago! But I still like it a lot - very graceful and timeless. A simple plant in a pot, sitting on the tank of the toilet in the upstairs bathroom in our old house. I could check the date, but it has to have been around 1978 or thereabouts.
